Been a bit slow in my painting activity lately due to my focus on photography. Nevertheless I managed to come up with two oil paintings - one from the trip back from Melaka, another from Bali. Double click on pics to see details and texture.

cheesecake,
i like the abstract feeling of the bali gate.
on the mallacca, i am not quite sure of the style; is it purposely painted loosely? one thing come to my mind, it would be more dramatic if you incorporate the essence of light..
to do that may be it needs an imaginary directional source of light..may be..
but overall...good job girl!

hi wautz...thanks for the comment. for the Bali gate i did a lot of layering. mostly using knife. For the malacca shophouse, i was using old credit card as painting tool. yeah, maybe it lacked of light direction. looked a bit flat huh? fyi, this is not an original idea of mine. Its painted from a photo of a postcard.
cheesecake,
the wall is fine i think.
but...kat tingkap, kat tepi bumbung, kat tanah tu..shadowless.. kalau ada shadow lagi best kot..
just a thought..
